Nepal Tourism to Hold NICE Event in Pokhara, with MICE in Focus

The first of its kind, Nepal Tourism Board, in collaboration with PATA and with the national PATA chapter, working with overall industry, is hosting NICE. Also collaborating are the Ministry of Industry and Tourism (Gandaki Province), Pokhara Metropolitan City, Pokhara Tourism Council, and other key public and private sector partners and stakeholders at the local, provincial, national, and regional levels. The historic Nepal India China Expo (NICE) is being held from February 24 to 26, 2025, at the Pokhara Event Center in Nepal’s tourism capital, Pokhara.

With the theme “NICE for MICE and More,” this landmark event seeks to position Pokhara not only as a hub for trekking and adventure but also as an emerging premier destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), leisure tourism, and new dimensions of tourism. It further strengthens Pokhara’s reputation as “Nepal’s Tourism Capital.”

NICE 2025 will be a pivotal event to increase travel demand for Nepal from these two giant countries—India and China. For this historic event, anticipated is 1,000+ delegates from three countries, including 100+ regional buyers, 80+ exhibitors, 25+ high-value speakers, government officials, media representatives, trade visitors, and esteemed guests.

For most out of country delegates, this would be their first exposure to the impressive Pokhara Events Centre, with its state-of-the-art facilities, choice of venues, with halls that can accommodate 2000 to small meetings of 20. Pre-expo fam tours and sightseeing opportunities are being offered to both hosted buyers and delegates.

At the B2B meetings over two days, 30 appointment sessions are planned.

Its an important milestone for Nepal tourism industry, and marks a new beginning for Pokhara’s MICE potential, being just a 20 minutes flight from Kathmandu, the capital.
