One of the first banquet and party spaces in the capital, The Tivoli has more than 15 outlets in Delhi and NCR, and recently relaunched its flagship location In Chhattarpur, South Delhi, as a five-star hotel with the biggest convention spaces in the region.
The history of Tivoli goes way back to 1994. Then, we had got the brand registered in more than 20 categories, ranging from beverages to hotels and resorts, consumables; in many other categories as well. This was started under me, now 58, and the brand has grown over these years. I have three sons Ishan, Akshay and Aryaman. They have taken the legacy forward now and already opened 15 more resorts and hotels and banquet properties in Delhi NCR and other areas.
How the story began?
We started as a farmhouse banqueting way back in1994, and that went on till 2000. Then we got the flagship Chattarpur land cleared as a motel. We broke the farmhouse in 2001 and started a motel with 80 rooms, with mega banqueting. Now after breaking this motel, because we got the five-star hotel sanctioned with a large area of five lakh square feet sanctioned. Out of that, we have built two and a half lakh square feet of flagship hotel, opened recently in November, as The Tivoli Chattarpur.
Facilities and the Response
The Tivoli Chattarpur is possibly the largest convention and banquet property in Delhi and NCR region, with 130 rooms and various sizes of banquet halls with 35 to 40 feet height. The biggest one is Oakwood which is 35,000 square feet with an outdoor lawn, which is almost one acre lawn separately. The 35,000 square feet hall can seat 1600-1800 people theatre style and a lot of large conventions are already happening. Titan Watch, Tanishq have already had events here with all their staff and employees followed by dinner; many foreign banks and other corporates, there’s a whole list of corporate customers, who have already done conferences including residential, annual day celebrations and get togethers, since November, up to now in February.
Another is 22,000 square feet, large height hall which is called Oyster Greens. This is a double height hall, which is made like a nightclub. So different kind of get together and customer requirements can be met within a vast canvas. That’s another10,000 square feet. One more banquet, all of 6,000 square feet, then a swimming pool party area for almost around 250 people, we also have a business centre and a health club.
Onto Newer Pastures
We have more plans in the offing, we will share these as we move forward. Presently, the big news is our hotel with largest banqueting spaces in this region. We have a phenomenal response which we have found most encouraging.
